KU on Wheels operates a paratransit service called JayLift, in order to meet the needs of students with permanent and temporary disabilities. JayLift service is available for transportation to and from academic-related activities, such as attending classes, purchasing books for classes, studying at the library, and attending assigned lectures or programs. Using the JayLift service requires the following:
-Student using JayLift: Qualification from the Academic Achievement & Access Center (864-4064).
-Faculty/Staff using JayLift: Qualification from Equal Opportunity (864-4946).
Jaylift is now available for students to use for extracurricular activities (on the KU campus in Lawrence). This service would include evening performances, student group meetings, SUA events, etc. This service is not available for faculty/staff usage.
